Waiting for the jury verdict is one of the most uncertain times in a jury trial.
It is the moment of truth with many unanswered questions concerning the lead up to trial and the trial itself.
Did research and trial preparation efforts maximize the chances of success, both for settlement and trial?
Were the right decisions made in selecting the jury?
Was the case communicated strongly and effectively, leading jurors to understand and identify with it?
What verdict will they return?
We understand your concerns and, more importantly, understand jurors. We can help you maximize your effectiveness in jury trials.
We offer quality jury research nationwide to attorneys. Since 1975, we have assisted civil and criminal defendants, plaintiffs, and federal and state prosecutors in a wide variety of cases.

We bring a unique, data driven, perspective to jury trials.
Over the years we have assisted both prosecutors and defense attorneys. We have assisted the Department of Justice in the Iran-Contra prosecutions of Lt. Col. Oliver North and Rear Admiral John Poindexter, the Environmental Crimes Section, and the Public Integrity Section. Our work includes providing assistance to U. S. Attorney’s Offices from across the nation and to Attorneys General from several states, including the State of Rhode Island in the prosecution of the owners of the Station nightclub where 100 individuals were killed in a 2003 nightclub fire.
We have assisted criminal defendants in numerous cases, including North Carolina v. Joan Little; one of the Attica prison riots trials; and in pretrial issues in United States v. Zacarias Moussaoui. We have also assisted in numerous death penalty cases. Our assistance in criminal trials is not limited to jury trials, but includes highly publicized courts-martial as well.
Our commitment to our clients reflects diversity in the civil area as well. We have assisted both plaintiffs and defendants in hundreds of cases. For example, we recently assisted the defense in a patent case (defense verdict, Level 3 Communications v. Limelight Networks, 2009) and personal injury plaintiffs in Aichs v. Barbour et. al. ($5.25 million, 2009) and Lester v. Allied Concrete Company, Inc. et al. ($10.5 million, 2010), and Lo v. GRTC ($8 million, 2009).

Client Testimonials
“Dr. Frederick assisted us in a very tough violation of civil rights case involving a former death row inmate. His assistance with focus group research, development and analysis of juror questionnaires, and jury selection was extremely helpful in obtaining a $2.25 million jury verdict.”
“I have used Dr. Frederick on several occasions for focus groups. His work is excellent. He is perceptive. He brings a wealth of experience in understanding focus groups as well as voir dire. His work has been helpful in our obtaining a number of significant results for deserving clients.”
“Jeff: You must have done a brain transplant. She was fabulous. She had the perfect poise, perfect demeanor, never volunteered, and hit the damages questions out of the park. Thank you very much for a fantastic job.”
“Jeff’s keen insight and advice during jury selection and trial proved invaluable. Jeff became a key member of our trial team and the result ($8 million jury verdict) was due in part to his assistance.”
“Jeff Frederick is the one trial consultant I have used who can organize the jury selection process and lead me through it in a way that minimizes my doubts about the wisdom of the final juror selection”
“Dr. Frederick’s work proved invaluable in a highly charged and emotionally loaded case—one in which a fair and impartial jury seemed but a dream. His identification of the critical psychological issues facing our jurors, a powerfully designed jury questionnaire, and his attendance during voir dire turned the tide. The results ‘proved the pudding.”
“Jeff’s expertise and insights were very beneficial to us during the jury selection process. He helped us to ferret out subconscious bias among our venire and secure a defense verdict for our client. I would highly recommend Jeff to anyone preparing for a jury trial, especially in cases where jurors’ emotional responses are likely to be profound.”
